Nasan Tur‘s works reflect the social conditions under which they were created. The works frequently deal with political ideologies, subliminal messages and the symbols of power and opposition, which are omnipresent in the cityscape. Exploring the tensions between public actions and inactivity is an essential aspect of his artistic work. However, he often introduces a participatory element that implies the subjectivity or presence of the viewer. The limits of communication, the hesitant and fragile character of perception are the driving forces behind the work of the artist and many of the situations he created.

Nasan Tur was born in 1974 in Germany; he lives and works in Berlin.

The two-part exhibition on Nasan Tur can be seen at the Galerie and the Garage of KUNST HAUS WIEN.
