Hundertwasser Architecture




  Die KUNST HAUS WIEN Front KUNST HAUS WIEN was established on the basis of the philosophy and artistic principles of the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928 –2000). The building itself, formerly the Thonet furniture factory, was architecturally remodelled according to Hundertwasser's own designs.

The Hundertwasser House is one of Viennas most visited sight. A residential house by the ideas of Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Designed by the Architects Josef Krawina as a co-originator and Peter Pelikan. In the year 1983 the foundation stone was laid and on 17th of February 1986 the house was handed over.

Heating Plant Spittelau

The District Heating Plant Spittelau storefront was designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser after a blaze in the 1980s. Guided tours are available.
