Hundertwasser – Schiele. Imagine Tomorrow

Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928–2000) shaped 20th-century art beyond the borders of Austria as a painter, designer of living spaces and pioneer of the environmental movement. His life-long, intense exploration of the personality and oeuvre of Egon Schiele (1890–1918) is largely unknown. 20 years after Hundertwasser’s death, the Leopold Museum is dedicating an exhibition, conceived as a dialogue, to these two iconic artists, which comprises some 170 exhibits.

KUNST HAUS WIEN. Museum Hundertwasser

Daily 10:00-18:00
The KunstHausWien, inaugurated in 1991, presents the worldwide only collection of Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s oeuvre with major works of his paintings, original graphic works, tapestries, applied art, architectural models and more. With the KunstHausWien Hundertwasser created „a house of beauty barriers, where beauty holds the most efficient function, a place of not regulated irregularities, of uneven floors, of dancing windows, tree tenants, the afforested roof, a house in which you have a good conscience towards nature.” Furthermore, the KunstHausWien shows special exhibitions of contemporary photography.
