Long Day of Flight
Streets of my Vienna - An intercultural Photo Walk
As part of "Langer Tag der Flucht" (Long Day of Flight), KUNST HAUS WIEN is organizing an intercultural Photo Walk "Streets of my Vienna", in which the exchange with people from different cultures, fun and, above all, a shared enthusiasm for photography are in the foreground.
New York, London, Tokyo, Paris - the big cities have long been popular motifs for street photography, as the exhibition Street. Life. Photography at KUNST HAUS WIEN shows. But Vienna is also becoming more and more popular in the scene as a subject with its imposing Wilhelminian façades and rustic sausage stands. The walk starts with a speed tour through the exhibition where the participants are inspired by icons such as Diane Arbus, Robert Frank and Martin Parr, but also by Austrian positions such as Alex Dietrich, Lies Maculan and Erich Lessing. Under the guidance of photographer Lisa Zalud, the participants will try to photographically capture the streets of Vienna themselves. From unusual portraits to spontaneous happenings in urban space, we photograph what appears in front of our lenses.
Kindly supported by Lomography
Everyone is welcome to the Photo Walk, whether hobby photographer or professional. With mobile phone camera, mirror reflex or Lomo you take pictures, the common denominator is the enthusiasm for photography.
