Forum Gut Feeling

Our immune system, our mental health, and even our cognitive skills are closely linked to digestive processes. When something becomes unbalanced, the gut understands it long before the brain can grasp it. The exhibition The Belly Knows Before the Brain envisions digestion as a reciprocal choreography between species and various times. How can a planetary metabolism be imagined? Which acts of care are needed to keep it in balance? What can be learned from the intelligence of microbes? And how can decay be understood as the beginning of new relationships?

The forum is an open invitation to reflect on and discuss these topics and others in the midst of the exhibition. Participants determine the course of the conversation by sharing their own interests and experiences.
