When planning a new exhibition we think about the sustainability goals from the outset. This means that we organise all the processes – from the call for proposals, the curating and logistics through to production – to be as resource efficient and environmentally sound as possible. This includes, for example, minimising long transport routes and reducing materials. Wherever feasible we recycle materials or share them with other museums and institutions. We only use energy-efficient equipment in our exhibitions, and only whenever they are really necessary. We are also sparing in our use of printed information material. But this does not prevent us from presenting our sustainability goals to visitors – and in the best case scenario motivate them to join in.
Enjoying art – in an eco-sensitive way
Great art doesn’t have to consume a lot of resources: that’s why we plan and realise our exhibitions as sustainably as possible.
