The ghostly is continuously present in Emma Talbot’s multimedia works. Throughout her oeuvre the British artist deals with how an outer world disrupts and shakes up our inner world. Intuitive drawings provide the basis for large-format silk paintings, three-dimensional sculptural forms, and film animation. Talbot’s works challenge us to regard nature not as merely what is around us physically but as a mirror of our own existence.
