At the DIY station, children and adults create mysterious folding pictures together, discover hidden figures and take their own works of art home with them.
Fire blazes in irregular shapes and is always in motion. In the Fire with Fire series, artist Julius von Bismarck uses reflections to give fires and forest fires a new face. The vertical symmetry makes it possible to recognise ghosts or other mystical creatures. In this way, the works are reminiscent of inkblot images that were used for psychological diagnoses in the 19th and 20th centuries. In the DIY station, such folding pictures are produced using simple means. The results encourage creative interpretation and can be taken home.
