Care, Community, Continuity

Care, Community, Continuity

LGBTIQA+ People in Conversation

The exhibition I Wish We Had More Time by the Institute of Queer Ecology examines loss in its multilayered dimensions: ecological, communal, and personal. Whether in multispecies symbioses thrown off balance or in the AIDS crisis of the 1980s—the focus is also placed on continuities that can be fought for and maintained despite disruptions.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a hybrid format emerges, combining a practical workshop with a moderated conversation. While repotting plants together, we speak about how queer communities experience change: Which transformations continue to shape them today? Do LGBTIQA+ people across different generations share similar needs for connectedness? How can solidarity be reimagined and lived anew?

Workshop facilitators: Marija Šabanović (Academy of Unlearning), Persson Perry Baumgartinger (TransComm. Office for Transformative Communication)

Notes: The workshop is open to gay and lesbian, LGBTIQA+, TIN, and queer persons across all generations.
Please bring a small flowerpot. Soil and plants will be provided.
